Noise Colorfit Pro 4 Max Smartwatch Review

Noise recently launched two flagship smartwatches in India – the Colorfit Pro 4 and the Colorfit Pro 4 Max Smartwatch. There is a difference of ₹500 between these two, and in terms of features, they look almost identical. Both watches include Bluetooth calling, Amazon Alexa support, up to seven days of battery life, IP68 water-resistance rating, 100 sports modes, and more.

Talking about its price, it will be available on e-commerce platforms like Flipkart for Rs 3,999. The main difference is only in the display, which is a bigger screen in the Colorfit Pro 4 Max (but not necessarily better). So let us know what is special in it.

Noise Colorfit Pro 4 Max Smartwatch Display

The Noise Colorfit Pro 4 Max has a large 1.8-inch screen, but there are thick bezels around it, especially at the bottom. It is a TFT LCD display, so colours aren’t very vibrant, but okay. However, for a smartwatch of this price, we expected at least an IPS LCD screen.

The screen has a resolution of 240 x 286 pixels, which makes it look clear. But despite having a large screen, the icons and text are small and too close together, making them look compressed. The watch could have made better use of its large screen.

Noise has made an odd choice here – the Colorfit Pro 4 Max only has a 40Hz refresh rate, while the cheaper Colorfit Pro 4 has a 60Hz refresh rate. The UI feels a bit sluggish, which could have been better, especially considering the company’s lofty claims. Tapping to wake the screen doesn’t work every time; at times, it took 3-4 taps to turn it on.

The Colorfit Pro 4 Max can go up to 500 nits of brightness, making it easy to read even on sunny Gaya City days. However, this watch doesn’t have an ambient light sensor, so you’ll have to set the brightness manually.

The wrist wake-up feature works well and wakes up the screen as soon as you lift your wrist.

Design & Build Quality

This is a similar smartwatch, with a golden aluminium frame and curved edges. However, the Colorfit Pro 4 Max still offers a premium look. It has a square frame, with the mic and a physical button on the right, and the speaker grille on the left.

It has good quality silicone straps, which can be replaced with any other 22mm strap. We got the variant with a blue strap, which matches well with the golden frame, buttons and buckle. Other options include black, brown, pink and grey, so you have plenty of choice.

The weight of this watch is not mentioned, but it feels heavy on the wrist and can get uncomfortable after five to six hours of wearing it. The strap does not have the usual buckle and loop system. We don’t like this design as it is not comfortable.

It has IP68 water resistance, so you can wear it while swimming or in the shower. However, many other smartwatches in this price range offer water resistance up to 5ATM, which is better.

Health Features & Working Modes

Noise has added several fitness tracking features to the Colorfit Pro 4 Max that are not usually found in smartwatches of this price. We compared its health measurements to an oximeter, and it was faster to show results, taking about 13 to 15 seconds. The oximeter showed a heart rate of 94 bpm and a blood oxygen level of 98%, while the smartwatch recorded a heart rate of 91 bpm and the same 98% blood oxygen level.

While the SpO2 sensor is accurate, the heart rate sensor is a bit inaccurate, which is strange because both these measurements are linked to each other. The Breathe mode helps you relax by doing breathing exercises.

The sleep tracking is accurate and can also record your midday naps. It also has a stress level indicator, which, like other watches, is hard to verify.

One unique feature this watch has is the noise detection mode, which tells you the level of noise around you in decibels. We tested it by bringing it close to a speaker playing music, and it quickly exceeded the normal range. After turning down the volume, the reading returned to normal, so the feature seems to work well.

Noise has packed 100 sports modes in the Colorfit Pro 4 Max. These include popular workout modes like running, cycling, swimming, dance, badminton, football, hiking and cricket. We tested the outdoor walk and run mode, which was pretty close.

Noise Colorfit Pro 4 Max Bluetooth Calling Features

The Noise Colorfit Pro 4 Max features Bluetooth calling, which is something that many smartwatches at this price point don’t have. It’s very handy. To use Bluetooth calling, go to the Noise Buzz menu, and a layout will open up on the watch. It will show three options: Favorites, Recent, and Keypad.

You can add favorite contacts from your smartphone via the app, while the Recent option shows your call history. Finally, the Keypad option is very helpful for quickly dialing numbers, without having to touch the phone.

The calling experience on the watch was mostly good for us. We dialed a number, which got connected instantly, and the person on the other end could hear and understand us clearly. However, the speaker could have been a little louder, as the volume was low during conversations. Still, you can hear it indoors where the background sound is low.

Noise Colorfit Pro 4 Max Battery Life

Noise Colorfit Pro 4 Max smartwatch has a non-removable battery, which once fully charged will provide 7 days of battery backup in normal use. But if you use it heavily with Bluetooth connectivity, then it provides 2 days of battery life, which is less according to the price.

Magnetic charging cable support is available to charge this smartwatch of Noise and the charging point will be seen on the back side of the watch and it does not come with the support of fast charging.

Pros

  • Good Health Tracking
  • Large display
  • Premium Looks
  • Bluetooth Calling Work Well

Cons

  • No GPS
  • Battery Life
  • Alexa doesn’t work properly

Conclusion:

We have mixed feelings about the Noise Colorfit Pro 4 Max. It is priced at Rs 3,999, and has some pros and cons. Features like Bluetooth calling, health tracking, and an easy-to-use interface are fine, but its premium design is what stands out the most.

However, it lacks an ambient sensor and in-built GPS, and battery life is below average, requiring charging every 3-4 days. The display is also mediocre, with a lower resolution and refresh rate than the Colorfit Pro 4.

If you like this smartwatch, go with it, but if you believe me, spending Rs 4,000 on it is a waste. You can look for other options that offer better battery life and in-built GPS at the same price.
